Aluminum These solar panels are mounted in an aluminum frame to keep the weight down. The object is to utilize the strength of the solar panel frame. Where the stainless comes in contact with the aluminum it is completely insulated with delrin or plastic. We even isolate the stainless machine screws from the aluminum frame and from the solar panel.
